Service Booking Lite (Þjónustubókun)
A salon, a workshop, or a one-person studio does not need a full booking suite to stop taking appointments in a chat thread. Spreadsheets go stale. The person who was free at 14:00 is double-booked by 14:05.
Service Booking Lite (also sold as Þjónustubókun) is a self-hosted WordPress plugin for that job: staff, services, and a booking list with a month calendar. Install it on your site, keep the bookings in your database, pay once.
What you get
- Staff — name, optional email, and an active flag
- Þjónusta — name, duration in minutes, the staff who can do it, and an optional price that is only a label
- Bookings — customer name and email, service, staff, start, end, and status: pending, confirmed, or cancelled
- Calendar and list in wp-admin, with confirm and cancel on the row
- Public request form — shortcode
[service_booking]. Requests arrive as pending. The form does not take payment - Public calendar —
[service_booking view="calendar"]shows the service and the staff member, not the customer’s name or email
English admin and form text. Translation-ready. Requires WordPress 6.2+ and PHP 7.4+.
License
After checkout you receive an activation key for this product. Paste it under Service Booking → Settings. The reminder is a notice only: staff, services, bookings, and the public form keep working if the key is missing, if it is rejected, or if the license server cannot be reached.
What this version is not
- Not a full Amelia, Booking Calendar, or Bookme replacement — no packages, coupons, or multi-location
- Not a payment form. The service price is display-only
- Not connected to Bakvaktin. Bookings stay on this WordPress site
